Private Events

With more than 20 years of experience presenting to clients in her former career, Katharine is perfectly placed to share her knowledge and experience of clay through private teaching workshops.

Katharine starts the process by meeting with the host to discuss timing, attendees and techniques to be demonstrated. She has a catalogue of workshops. Each workshop is a set price that includes tutoring, materials, firing, travel, expenses and postage.

All workshops are based around hand-building and surface decoration techniques and are offered in the host’s place of work or home. Katharine is available to travel to locations in London and the Southeast of England and can teach corporate events, adult or child parties.

DURATION

Various times, depending on workshop, ranging from 1 - 3 hours

ATTENDEES

Maximum 15 students, allows for hands-on tutoring and for the group to learn and experience the process

CLASS

The workshop will start with an introduction to clay and the ceramic process and then an explanation of what the group will be creating. Katharine will help guide individuals throughout the session. No prior knowledge of ceramics or art is required, attendees just need to bring an open mind and plenty of enthusiasm.

PROCESS

Once the workshop is finished, Katharine will take the pieces back to her studio to dry, glaze and fire, and the finished pieces will be ready in 3-4 weeks. She will also share progress of the pieces throughout these stages of the process, so the group learning can continue past the workshop.
